My company wants to get rid of CA Gen. We are still running few monthly reports. I am not familiar with this product, but I heard that generated COBOL is hard to read. But, anyway is it possible to take generated COBOL sources and to maintain them directly, without running CA Gen?
Thanks!
Can I maintain COBOL sources generated by CoolGen (CA GEN)?

why do You want to know?
wouldn' t it be simpler to look at the generated code Yourself
and try to compile it outside of the CoolGen environment ?

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

You are right. The real stuff would be much better. Unfortunately, I don't have any access to this application before I will commit that it's possible.
