I am looking at possibilities for various On/Off mainframe tools for development, file maintenance and testing, that are compatible with the z/VSE environment and the use of DL/I.
Does anyone currently use any tools on this platform, from CA, IBM, Microfocus etc...? We have installed DEBUG for COBOL/VSE and upgrading to CICS/TS at this time. We need to sustain the legacy system and are looking at a variety of tools to aid the development process as a whole within the COBOL/VSE z/VSE DL/I environment.
