CA File Master Plus

Postby friendapratim » Fri May 10, 2013 3:19 pm

Hi All,

I got this new job in a company and they use 'CA File Master Plus' for browsing dataset in Mainframe. In my previous company, we used 'File-Aid'. I am finding it difficult to use this tool 'CA File Master Plus'. I tried searching google for any related PDF which can guide me with the commands used in File Master. For. e.g., In file aid, we used Hide, Held command to show the required columns but I don't see any such commands being used in file master plus. Can someone share a pdf/ doc etc?? Thanks in advance.

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Hello and welcome to the forum,

If your organization is licensed to use a CA product, all of the documentation is available from CA Support - for free.

To download material, you need to register with their support site which is also free and rather painless 8-)
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Try Custom Record Layouts and the MAP commands to hide columns.

Hello,

You need to download the manual(s) and read about the various features.

No one should re-post what you already have available.

If you get stuck actually trying something, post what you tried and what happened. Someone here may be able to help.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
