ABEND 3303?

what is ABEND 3303? when it comes hw to solve? there is no other error instruction.

Which gave the abend some utility or some COBOL Program?

It indicates databases down..
the job gets abended when the database is down.. as per my knowledge..
check it out ..

Check your system log. Look for DFS3303I, match up timestamp. This is usually a stopped database. DB will be listed in the DFS3303I message

Are you using IMS? Because IMS ROLB abends with user code 3303. This is a controlled abend issued by the program. All changes since the last commit point (IMS CHKP command) are discarded as weill as output messages. If you are in a IMS DC environment all messages retrieved since the last commit point are returned to the message queue. You can verify this by issuing a /DISP at a MTO terminal.

A U3303 occurs when a response to a query comes more than three years after the query. It can be corrected by clicking the 'view new posts' link rather than the 'view unread posts' link.
