Are you sure you used the right Google? Did you spell APS and Cobol correctly? I just put in "aps cobol" and now I know what it is, and even found a tutorial, though I don't know if it can be done online because I can leave you to look at more than the first five items.

for insight into APS cobol start from
http://www.microfocus.com

not every company behaves like IBM who makes available on the net all the manuals

most of the other companies enforce a strict copyright approach ,
so that posting, and providing for the material and even a link to an unauthorized copy is illegal

so most likely nobody will provide what You ask...

but here is the link to the microfocus fact sheet for it
http://www.microfocus.com/000/datasheet ... 1-8337.pdf

but if You had really searched ( and I strongly doubt it ) the above document would have been the second on the returned hits

and there is stated that
APS generates reliable, high-performance, high-quality COBOL.

so really APS COBOL AND COBOL are kind of <unrelated> and comparing them is not worth the effort

I wonder why people are not bothered by their <dumbness> ..
pretend that google gave back nothing of interest, when there is clear evidence of the other way around.

and when I ask ... have <You> googled ,
it means that I have done it and the info somebody looks for can be easily be found without having other do the searching,
and whining that nothing was found is just a symptom of <incompetence> or sheer laziness
