Hello Team,

This is my first post. Recently I have been asked to learn and understand the job duties of a Mainframe Administrator. I am a beginner as a Mainframe programmer and very less idea about admin duties.
Could someone please help me with duties of a mainframe admin and is there any training available (Appreciate if can send me the link) available on this forum or any contact

I need to have this ASAP and I would really appreciate response on this post.

Thanks for the time

Recently I have been asked to learn and understand the job duties of a Mainframe Administrator.

weren' t they explained to You by the powers of Your organisation

anyway ...
first of all We do NOT do ASAP
we reply on our own time and free of charge
if You have time constraints a forum is not the best place to ask for help

what happened when You googled with Mainframe Administrator
if You had done it You would not have had the need to ask here

the first link I got when I googled was
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... inrole.htm
and the parent topic
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgece ... Troles.htm

anyway there is no official job description for the role, it usually depends on the organisation

and as far as the training is concerned, Your organisation should provide it

PS.
it is funny that for such questions just googling with the topic title will give the reply
