Hi Team,
During IPL, we got the below error message
BPXB001E GROUP ID FOR TTY CANNOT BE OBTAINED. 823
SAF RETURN CODE = 8, RACF RETURN CODE = 8, RACF REASON CODE = 8.
In the manual, it is mentioned that RACF group for TTY needs to be defined.
could you please help me to find out the group name used is specified in the TTYGROUP initialization parameter, which defaults to TTY.
I have seached in PARMLIB, RACF started task,NUCLEUS library but unable to find that.
GROUP ID FOR TTY CANNOT BE OBTAINED.

Re: GROUP ID FOR TTY CANNOT BE OBTAINED.
If you can't find parameter TTYGROUP coded in any of your active PARMLIB BPXPRMxx members, then the default of TTY is being used. The BPX message tells you as much. Execute operator command /D OMVS,OPTIONS to confirm. Simply define it. It commonly has a GID of 7. No users should be connected. Put a comment in its DATA field describing it purpose and that it shouldn't be deleted.
