Hello, can anyone tell me if there is any reason why a user would need UPDATE access to the LOGREC datasets?
Are there any utilities or functions that run against the LOGREC that requires UPDATE access from a user perspective?

Re: SYS1.LOGREC
Logrec is for hardware errors. The only ones that would need any other access than read are the system programmers or someone that runs Erep reports.

Some software errors are also recorded in LOGREC.
Re: SYS1.LOGREC
Thank you. Just to confirm, running EREP requires READ access only?
Thank you, again.

Re: SYS1.LOGREC
If you are using IFCEREP1 to clear SYS1.LOGREC, you'll need more than READ access.
