Cloning a Existing CICS region

Postby jaggz » Tue Oct 26, 2010 10:46 am

Hi,

We have a sandbox where i want to Clone a existing CICS001 region to form a new CICS002 region. Before I start with cloning of the CICS region what are all the parameters that I need to change for progressing to another Version(Yet to be created by me). If so where i can fetch the requirements that helps us to Create a new cics region. I tried browsing the IBM site to find the right method, but they suggest us to use TXseries to create a new CICS region, but our shop does not have the TX series product.

what process has Your organization followed for al the other clones!
ask Your support about it

but... quick and dirty..
no need to change the INTERNAL ONLY parameters
You will need to change only things seen outside
VTAM related info for example
ALL the DATASET RELATED info

Your security support will have to take care of the security related stuff for the new environment
cheers

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
