Hello,

Could someone enlighten me how a page frame is converted to a real memory ?

Any Pointers.

for a <generic> description of it You gan just google with "page frame"
and it will take You to a reasonably good wikipedia article

for the IBM implementation details You can read the POP ( IE the hardware bible )
or search the IBM redbooks for the ABC of systems programming

all was nicely and thoroughly explained in the IBM System Journal articles on Virtual storage
but ...once they were available for free ,
unfortunately now some IBM droid decided to transfer them to the brigands of IEEE
and You will have to pay 30 ( Thirty ) Dollars for each article
a very intelligent way of <disseminating> the IBM culture :shock:

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort
