Windows profile comunication issues with VBA and Pcomm

I'm having weird issues with a Windows 7 profile and I'm not quite sure where to turn. I'm using VBA to manipulate a PComm session. It worked fine on every computer but this one when a specific user is logged in. If the user moves to a different computer it works fine and if someone else is logged into the computer it works fine but just not for her.
The issue is that when VBA launches the PComm (6.0.6) session it is not able to issue any commands (ie. sendkeys, movecursor, etc.). I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this before and was there a resolution. I've bee looking all over the internet but can't really find anything.
