Good day. Please, tell me links to guidance on the transfer of dumps from z/OS to an external source, based on iscsi or samba.

frankly, unless the setup is in place for different business reasons
a plain FTP transfer would be much more cost effective

Are you trying to tell us this is a true standalone dump taken to 9 tape volumes? Is it your intent to load this data to DASD for local processing? Or are you ultimately transferring this data to a vendor for analysis? If the latter, you should discuss the matter with the vendor. I used to work for a vendor. We got quite a few dumps through FTP, but I was never involved with something that large. The dumps we got were in the hundreds of megabytes, but they were all SYS1.DUMPxx type dumps.

Ooups, "As of z/OS Version 1 Release 13, IBM has withdrawn support for the z/OS Distributed File Service support that utilizes the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) architecture." - Samba will not work. Can anyone help with ISCSI? Or possibly offer other options?

When you say "dump", you mean a backup, not a core dump? And you want to transfer it electronically using iSCSI, effectively accessing a remote SCSI (or SCSI-pretending) device?

yes, i mean a backup. yes, i want to transfer it electronically using iSCSI protocol from the mainframe to the remote SCSI device(or the server? I only heard about the Protocol - I don't know anything else about him, which is right?)

Now there's an idea - can the mainframe to transfer in multi-threaded mode ftp?
Are you searching for information on this. Please, if someone knows the answer, just a hint.
