Hi Team,

As I am new to this kind of requirement your help/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I have a requirement where in we get a file in Binary format(Actual data is in Swedish) and which need to be converted into ASCII format.

Middleware is converting that Swedish to Binary.

Regards,

Wow, converting Swedish to Binary! And Binary is the language of which country? Tried to find it on Google and Wikipedia, but no luck, and my friend who works as a translator for the EU had also never heard of this language.

If the dataset is on a z/os mainframe then it is likely to be in EBCDIC which is the encoding generally ised on a mainframe. Why do you want ASCII which is what is used on PCs?

Binary - everything is in binary - it is how those bits are interpreted that determine if it is EBCDIC, ASCII, UTF etc.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
