Why are you wanting to install x3270 on Unix System Services? Installing a 3270 emulator on a z/OS system doesn't make a lot of sense to me -- which z/OS system would you be connecting to from the USS 3270 terminal session? And the x3270 page at http://x3270.bgp.nu says
x3270 is an IBM 3270 terminal emulator for the X Window System and Windows
so why would you even think you CAN get it running under Unix System Services (USS)? USS is Unix-like but it is by no means a standard Unix.

We looked at the high cost of our 3270 emulator a couple of years ago and wound up installing Virtel from Syspertec. It is browser-based, so there is nothing to install on the desktop -- just point your browser to the correct mainframe URL and log in to allow access to 3270 screens. The cost was much less than our previous emulator.

Thx for answer.
I have putty running and XServer at z/OS as well of course, what i'm looking for is a solution for the old and natives syspros, with no costs at all.
I have seen Virtel at the last SHARE and it looks good but it has licence costs. And i have no access to any Workstation at the user side and want to replace the local Installation there.
Maybe an Installation under z/linux is the better way but to check the tool, hw handle it is, i've tried an installation at USS side and yes the 3270 Connection runs than local to one of our tn3270 servers.
