Tape mismatch between ISMF and Library

Postby ipaulouski » Mon May 16, 2011 3:26 pm

Hello,

I have a tape scratch count mismatch between ISMF 2.3 and command /f oam,d,lib,... At ISMF I have more scratch volumes than at library through /f oam.... MAy be exist some way to syncronize quantity of tapes at ISMF and Library? We use TS7700 and 2xTS3500 as physical storage.

Just a guess, the roboter tells you how many scratch tapes there are in the roboter, ISMF tells you how many scratch tapes there are total, including those that are on a shelf and not in the robot.

Is this true for logical volumes? We have not so much virtual tape drivers but difference is greater. What could be a possible reasons?
