Mainframe macro

Hi,

I need to update a template file which is an excel file. This file contains some macro buttons. When I fetch data and save this file, button is missing. Actually whole data like column header is itself missing. How do I keep the template as such and just fetch data through mainframe macros?

Please help me.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Kavitha

What "mainframe macro"? There is no such thing. There are ISPF edit macros and Assembler language Macros but "mainframe macro" - no. You will have to explain much more: for example, how does the mainframe fit into the scenario?

Hi Nic,

Do you know .ebm files? I am talking about this.

Its an attachmate extra file in which we can write macro lines and compile and run it. Macro would be more or less like excel macros(vba).

Thanks,
Kavitha

  • "attachmate extra" is a product that runs on toy machines to communicate with mainframe computers. Other than the accident that "attachmate extra" communicates with real computers; "attachmate extra" macros execute on toy machines within the "attachmate extra" environment.
  • "excel" is a product that also runs on toy machines, and has nothing to do with real computers.

Not mainframe topic - suggest you look for an attachmate forum. Topic locked.
