Copy using a command or shortcut key

Hi,

Can we copy a word or dataset name using a shortcut key, like we use to do in Ms Word using CTRL +SHIFT+ END. Otherwise, I have to keep on pressing SHIFT and RIGHT ARROW key.

Do we have any shortcut key in mainframe or can we map it using mainframe keyboard?

Thanks,
Chits

If you are running a 3270 emulator on a Wintel box, it will likely act as any other Windows program.

Use Tom Brennan's Vista tn3270, which has a smart select option when using the mouse, and plenty of other goodies not found in any of the big-name commercial emulators.

What have you tried? I just did a little experiment and without using a mousde I highlighted some text. Just try out some of your PC knowledge as that is what is needed here - not mainframe knowledge.
