Postby chinkump » Sat Mar 15, 2014 10:34 pm

Need some sample code of converting DLY280 programs to COBOL. Any document that contains mapping of the DLY280 commands to that of COBOL will be really helpful.Any suggestion/pointers will be helpful.

Thanks,

As was posted on another forum where the TS wanted to convert from Natural to COBOL there is probabaly no such document. Did you Google? More effective would be to write the COBOL program from scratch having defined the input, defined the output and defined the process from getting from one to the other. It may help to know both languages but it is not necessary.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Thanks for the above reply.
It will be very useful if some one can provide me with the training materials for ADSO.
I am unable to find the same in the CA website.

Thanks,

Because it is probably copyrighted material and CA are not very generous with their copyrighted material. However, if you approach them you should be able to obtain it either for free or for a small(?) fee. Otherwise - read through the manual a few times - a quick skim, a detailed look at what you may require and a more detailed look at what you decide you require.
