Using HACL (PCOMM) in a 64 bits enviroment

Hi all,
This is my first post here.
English is not my native language.

I'm using HACL libraries with VBA.
My problem is:
With a new version of Office 64 bits when I create new instance of AutConnList I get the error message:
Activex component can't create object.
In a 32 bits version of office this Works fine.

I'm using the following libraries:

PCOMM autECLConnList Automation Object 1.0 Library.
PCOMM autECLConnMgr Automation Object 1.0 Library.
PCOMM autECLOIA Automation Object 1.0 Library.
PCOMM autECLPS Automation Object 1.0 Library.

from IBM Personal Communications Workstation Program Version 12.0 for Windows.
in a workstation with Windows 10 Enterprise version 1703.
and Office 2016 64 bits.

Thanks in advance for any hint.

This is a mainframe forum. Office is not a mainframe product. You would be better advised to enquire in a Windows forum.

Garry.

Garry

Thank you for reply.

I understand your reply, but the question is also about IBM PC3270 Emulation and I suposed I post in the right sub-forum - PC/COMPUTER FORUMS Simulators & Emulators

Nevertheless in the Windows forums, MSDN for instance, the guys there advice me to ask about this in a IBM fórum...

Well unfortunately I'm in the limbo...

Thanks any way.

PC3270 is a PC program that replicates a hardware terminal - which just happens to be used to connect to a mainframe. That program has a macro language (VBA) used for automating certain functions. You are probably trying to use it for other purposes. But you are running into 32/64 bit compatability problems. You nedd to either upgrade to 64 bit PC3270 (if there is one), downgrade to 32 bit Office or go another way.

Hi NicC,

I don't know if there is 64 bits version of the IBM Personal Communication
Have to ask to IBM representative in the company I work for to provide me a version

Just for information the work I doing is simulate the work of an operator in a terminal
I use mostly VBA but also Vbscript
I work in close partnership with the Cobol and MVS guys.
Have a brother that is all life is writing Cobol, my father also was a Cobol programer back in the 70's and I with 16 (back in 1981) has the first formation in IBM learning Cobol and TSO

Best regards
