Hello and welcome to the forum,

When you have a question it is best to start a new topic for your question.

You mention a "DOS Based cobol editor". Why DOS? Why a specific cobol editor? Do you have something particular in mind?

You might be interested in installing Hercules - it is free.

From an earlier topic:
Hello, Hercules can be found at http://www.hercules-390.org
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
