Key Mapping for IBM keyboards

Postby jaggz » Wed Oct 20, 2010 11:26 am

Hello,

Could anyone please let me know how to map the key as per our requirement. Like to convert the copy(Alt E+C) , paste(Alt E+P) and Cut(Alt E+X) to normal way of (Ctrl+C,Ctrl+p and Ctrl +x) ,pasting and Cut operations. Well i referred the IBM sit to customise but i could'nt find the right macros to change the key. Please guide me in this regard.

for the keyboards mapping howto's You should look at Your 3270 emulator' s manuals or online help
I know how to do it on mine, cannot tell on Yours, since You forgot to tell which one You are using

When I tell somebody to RTFM or STFW I usually have the page open in another tab/window of my browser,
so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Thanks a ton on your reply. The missed information are that I am using IBM personnel communication(3270). Please let me know if you require more information.

I am using VISTA/3270 which emulates the general behavior of PCOMM
click on the keyboard customization icon and follow the path
IIRC ctrl(x,c,p) are already the defaults for cut and paste
cheers
