Position 1
MVS Systems Programmer - ZOS Operating Systems Technical Support
Mainframe Production Engineering

Role Description:
Provide ZOS/MVS technical support for multiple large mainframe ZOS computer environments. Responsible for installs, upgrades and maintenance for the IBM ZOS operating system software and related program products. Build, package and distribute ZOS system software platforms per CSC's standard operating environment. Customize operating environment to client requirements including program product installs, parmlib modification, usermods and exits. Provide Level 2 & 3 problem analysis & resolution. Provide SW configuration management for production client environments. Includes tracking of SW profiles, release levels, monitor and obtain SW authorization codes & expirations for each LPAR. Ability to work standard USA business hours as well as provide 7/24-service on-call as needed. Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse locations. Requires good English verbal and written communication. Requires college or university computer science or engineering degree.

Skills:
• Requires ten years expertise performing ZOS technical support for the following operating system software; MVS, JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, SMP/E, HCD, DFSMS, GRS, MIM, USS, REXX.
• A full understanding of ZOS system architecture, internals and hardware for a large mainframe environment
• Experience with ZOS operating System systems and related program product software installation, customization, parameters and maintenance.
• Must have experience with System Maintenance Methodologies and SMP/E maintenance utility
• Experience with RACF/ACF2 definitions, security exits & interfaces.
• Requires good problem solving skills, ZOS dump & LOGREC analysis with the ability to debug & diagnose system abends.
• Requires parallel sysplex experience.
• Must have IBM assembler programming knowledge.
• The ability to design, code and maintain ZOS and product system exits.
• The ability to manage small groups, lead projects and coordinate multiple tasks under time and resource constraints
• Project management experience would be an advantage
• Self motivated and self directed individual with a positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to project a professional image to both outsourced and potential clients
• Overtime and weekend work occasionally required, some travel necessary
• Provide a 7/24 service on-call to clients
• Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse

Position 2
MVS Systems Programmer - ZOS Program Product Technical Support
Mainframe Production Engineering

Role Description:
Provide technical support for multiple large mainframe ZOS computer environments. Responsible for installs, upgrades and maintenance for IBM & ISV/OEM program products on a mainframe ZOS operating environment. Support multiple clients in a parallel sysplex environment. Customize product system software per client requirements including parmlib modification, usermods and exits. Provide level 2 & 3 client support, problem resolution, service requests on CSC internal or client systems. Ability to work standard USA business hours as well as provide 7/24-service on-call as needed. Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse locations. Requires good English verbal and written communication. Requires college or university computer science or engineering degree.

Skillset Required
Skills:
• Require ten years tech support experience with installation, customization and maintenance of diverse suite of IBM & OEM software products in a Multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments.
• Thorough knowledge with SMP/E and System Utilities
• Expertise with system parmlib customization including linklists, lpalist, apf, ispflibs
• Strong technical knowledge of ZOS, JES2/JES3, TSO, IDCAMS, SDSF, ISPF, RACF, REXX
• Code & Install product usermods and exits
• Provide problem analysis & resolution
• Self motivated and self directed individual with a positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to project a professional image to both outsourced and potential clients
• Overtime and weekend work occasionally required, some travel necessary
• Provide a 7/24 service on-call to clients
• Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse

Position 3
IMS Systems Programmer - Technical Support
Mainframe Production Engineering

Role Description:
The candidate will be required to provide IMS technical support for multiple large mainframe ZOS computer environments. Responsibilities include installation, testing, customization and maintenance of IMS DBMS Software and third-party software products and providing level 2 & 3 client support, utilising system facilities, real-time monitoring and reporting products. The position will involve a high degree of technical complexity and a significant level of customer interface. Ability to work standard USA business hours as well as provide 7/24-service on-call as needed. Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse locations. Requires good English verbal and written communication. Requires college or university computer science or engineering degree.

Skillset Required
Skills:
• Requires ten years IMS tech support experience
• Expertise with IMS components & internals of IMS/DBM, IMS/TM and related products, including RACF & ACF2 security, interconnectivity of various subsystems to different platforms.
• Thorough knowledge with SMP/E and System Utilities
• Experienced with IMS interface for Oracle Access Manager & Gateway software
• A full understanding of sysplex system architecture and the installation process for a large mainframe LPAR environments
• Knowledge of IBM, CAand BMC IMS program products
• Design, code and maintain IMS system exits
• Fluent with IBM assembler programming language
• ZOS diagnostic and dump analysis for IMS systems
• Performance analysis & tuning for IMS
• The ability to manage small groups, lead projects and coordinate multiple tasks under time and resource constraints
• The ability to deal with complex problems and issues and then be able to propose intelligent practical solutions
• The ability to prioritize workloads effectively to meet changing business needs
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
• Project management experience would be an advantage
• Self motivated and self directed individual with a positive attitude
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to project a professional image to both outsourced and potential clients
• Overtime and weekend work occasionally required, some travel necessary

Position 4
ZOS Performance & Tuning - Analyst
Mainframe Production Engineering

Role Description:
Provide ZOS system performance and tuning analysis & support. This person will be called upon to design, implement and lead complex performance optimization projects and strategies, working on large multi-client ZOS systems. This position requires extensive experience with WLM, Parallel Sysplex configurations, multiple LPAR environments, and experience in capacity/performance reporting and modeling. Ability to work standard USA business hours as well as provide 7/24-service on-call as needed. Must be able to work with staff in geographically diverse locations. Requires good English verbal and written communication. Requires college or university computer science or engineering degree.

Skillset Required
Skills :
• Requires ten years ZOS system performnce & tuning experience
• Experience with RMF(I, II, III) plus Omegamon, TMON, Mainview or other performance monitoring tools is required.
• Use of MICS, MXG, RMF or other measurement reporting tools is required.
• Must be experienced with Workload Load Manager policy design and modification.
• Must have system performance understanding of mainframe components covering the areas of ZOS, JES, CICS, DB2 and IMS.
• A full understanding of ZOS system architecture and hardware for a large mainframe environment
• Performance analysis & tuning for ZOS operating environment
• Performance analysis & tuning for Disk & Tape Storage systems
• Use of the SAS programming language to analyze and present system measurement data, either from SMF data or MXG databases.
• The ability to manage small groups, lead projects and coordinate multiple tasks under time and resource constraints
• The ability to deal with complex problems and issues and then be able to propose intelligent practical solutions
• The ability to prioritize workloads effectively to meet changing business needs
• Project management experience would be an advantage
