i have competed B.E (computer science) and mainframe training. i attended 2 interviews for mainframe but unfortunately i dint get selected.i want to know how to improve my knowledge in mainframe so that i can get job in this field. moreover being a fresher i am expected to have knowledge about jcl,cobol,vsam,db2 and cics.so kindly suggest me some good books for the mentioned topics.is it possible to get demo of mainframe projects so that i can develop my skills.

What about your current employer? Do they look to promote workers internally and provide opportunities for advancement? Can you get involved with a company that sponsors recent graduates as interns? You have to show a potential employer what you can do for them. That is a long and slow process that you really can't take a short-cut with.
