HP 3000 Mainframe

Postby Aravindh » Tue Mar 01, 2011 12:40 pm

Hi My Company is now asking me to work in a project for HP3000 . Is it worth moving from IBM mainframes to HP 3000? Please let me know if its a good decision and it would not affect my career.

so that I am sure that the information requested can be reached with a very small effort

Not accepting , I am asked to work in IBM mainframes , production support - only jcls and changeman , not even access to write cobol , db2 codes. I have to choose one , IBM mainframes , production support / HP 3000 migration ( not sure if its migration )

Note that Hewlett-Packard ceased to support the 3000 series at the end of 2010, although third-party support is available for at least three years. This may affect your decision.
