Doubts regarding Tandem mainframe

I want to know about more Tandem mainframe (HP Non-stop). Also I have few more doubts regarding that if I move from IBM mainframe to Tandem mainframe:

1. Will it be beneficial to get involved in this skill set because I heard it is totally different from IBM mainframes?

2. Also Is there will be sufficient future aspirations as well as growth for the Tandem mainframes?
