Re: Package & Plan in DB2
by reading the manual. Use Google to search for 'IBM DB2 Manuals'
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Re: Package & Plan in DB2
Praveen5526, this is a HELP forum, not a READ-THE-MANBUAL-FOR-YOU forum. When the question you ask is simply answered in the manual, expect to be told to go read the manual. If the question you ask has complications or implications beyond the manual, or the question is about a specific issue, you'll get a lot more help.

Hi Praveen,
For creating a package you might get in touch with DB2 sys progs or DBA for a valid syntax. For deleting the plans the manual has clearly given the method to delete.

Re: Package & Plan in DB2
Hello,
If you are NOT the dba and there is a need to create/delete packages/plans, you need to work with the dba. Do NOT experiment as this may be cause for discipline - even termination.
fwiw. . .

Re: Package & Plan in DB2
Thanks all. Actually it was asked in the interview. So just thought of knowing the answer. I googled it . I got 2 comments to delete the package and plan ,
1. Drop package
2. Free package ,
for plan ,
1. Free plan .
Please tell me if these answers are correct.

It was an interview question - then why did you not post in the interview questions part of the forum?
