Hello,

Please describe how this requirement originated.

As worded, it makes little or no sense.
Hope this helps,

If the question was how to keep track of the loops with a two byte number, then use packed or binary........

I suspect that either the question is incomplete or incorrect or the answer would need to be "we cannot capture the 900th run using only a counter 9(02)". There is also the possibility that the question is as CG suggests and the requirement was really a 2-byte counter, not a "9(02)" counter.

When questions like this are posted, we cannot help much. From what i've been able to observe over many, many such questions, it is usually because there was a communication breakdown between the interviewer and the person being interviewed.
Hope this helps,
d.sch.

Hello,

now if u cant answer.. dont make it stupid question
I believe you have been answered. Which part of "you cannot do that" do you not understand? We were merely trying to offer alternatives that would fit for you.

Be assured that none of the moderators or other senior people intend to "make it stupid".
Hope this helps,
