Have you set up your TCP/IP stack correctly? What port is the ADCD system expecting you to connect to? Have you changed your emulator to point to that port?

Robert,
most probably the TS is running a pirated ADCD on Hercules.
( in violation of the ADCD licensing agreement )
cheers

Enrico, that's most likely -- although it IS possible that the TS is employed by the appropriate company to allow legal access to ADCD running z/OS; in such a case, however, why would questions be posted here instead of directed to IBM / the employer? And if the TS is not so employed, why announce to the entire world that you're doing something illegal and potentially very costly to your employer?

Can you show me a correct example of setting up TCP/IP stack?

IF you are running ADCD on Hercules, how you set up the TCP/IP stack depends upon whether you're running under Linux or Windows. Your best bet is to Google hercules tcp/ip and start reading -- there's some very extensive documentation available on the Internet on what is required for Linux or Windows.

IF you are not running ADCD on Hercules, you have to know what IP address your (Linux or Windows) machine is using, and you'd need to set up a different IP address for ADCD to use. The specifics would depend upon the implementation, so you would HAVE to talk to whoever you got the ADCD system from to get the specific set up information.
