Cobol Compiler replacement

Postby Thomas Ramseier » Fri Dec 03, 2010 9:27 pm

Hi
We currently have about 2-3 Cobol Developers remainig, most of our code on zOS is written either in Java or Natural. The Cobol Compiler on zOS costs us a fortune and IBM is not willing to find a solution for our problem (e.g. charging per compile or Job-Step respectively), and we don't want to add another LPAR just for Cobol. Are there any Workbenches available that will allow replacing the Compiler for zOS? - Almost all of the programs run under CICS or as Batch-PGMs. IIRC, there used to be the REALIA-Workbench from CA that could be used, wasn't it? - The URL of REALIA seems quite outdated.
Thanks for any hint into the right direction
Thomas

I've not had a client using this for some time. . .
Hope this helps,
