We did some parallel file testing, all compared as equal. Since we didn't have any changes except the level of compiler there were only a few parallel test.

We had the users log into the applications execute some programs and ran some batch processes to execute some programs and if no ABEND due to the upgrade that was the test for most applications.

I was just thinking about the compiler options. You're happy, I'm happy.

As it turned out I read all 400 pages for upgrading COBOL enterprise, can't remember exactly what the coding was changing but I remeber wondering who would use these commans and why.

As to the upgrade we had 1 keywork change on a program that was an LE keyword change, so none for Enterprise, around 4000 programs CICS, Batch, CICS DB2.

Thanks for the pointer and yes reading the document, even though long and tedious, is the thing to do.

Thanks, Rickey

Glad it went well, and thanks for the advice from experience, and for letting us know.

Please let me know which financial institution just did this, or is about to do this. I want to make sure I don't have any money there.

This is seriously the most depressing post I've read in a long time.
