If you can view your job output in SDSF or ISPF option 3.8 there will be more messages describing the reason for the JCL ERROR.

If you JOB card info is wrong, there may not be any output.

1. Use a JOB card from another job that has worked.
2. Look for the output to find the JCL ERROR reason.

Hello Bill,

Thanks alot for your hints

I check job log for job status..

but actually I dont really understand the meaning of it,see below

does "ACCOUNTCODE=TO8U ILLEGAL "mean some thing? How could I use another Job card for compiling COBOL?
I did compiling just by =t.s.u ->, choose "enter"

//I15985U JOB (TO8UACCT),UAE,MSGCLASS=X,NOTIFY=&SYSUID JOB20326
//*
*** JESXIT53 USERID=I15985 ACCOUNTCODE=TO8U ILLEGAL JESXIT53

Hello,

You need to talk with the system support people or someone on your project/class to learn what is an acceptable account code/job card.

It is completely site-specific and someone in your organization can provide the answer.
Hope this helps,
