Completely improper beginning. . .

Hi friends,
I am new this forum, i did not find new post tab so i am posting here.
Could anyone help me in gaining knowledge in mainframe.
I am beginner and want to make my carrer in this technology. but have no idea how work is done.
If i follow this forum, will i be able to gain knowledge or do i need a technical training?
Please assist me.

Suggest you talk with some people locally who are already doing this type of work. Their input will be much more beneficial that trying to learn this electronically.
