Hi,

I am using SS option with INCLUDE to search a VB file but ending in getting the below error:

WER250A INCLUDE/OMIT FIELD BEYOND RECORD

The LRECL of file is 1378 and RECFM is VB. From the error message I get that what I am trying to search is beyond the record but this starts from 10th position of 6 character length !



I tried it with 5,1378 also but got the same error. Please correct me.

Please review the VLTESTI Option to address this issue.

Yep.......that option helped me...and the include condition should always start with '4' for a VB file......am I right Alissa?

Alissa, though the job ends with MAXCC=0 after using VLTESTI option, I don't find my any results in the SYSOUT of the job. All the entries must be found and I have found them when I did the search manually !

For this application, you are correct.

Did you specify VLTESTI=1 or VLTESTI=2?

I tried both but NOT got the results !

OP informed me that rerunning the test with VLTESTI=2 did produce the desired results.
