Hi,

I am using below shown data and SORT card to remove duplicates from input file but in vain :cry:

Input:

Would you please tell me why it is not giving 3 output records :?:

Hello,

I suspect there is something you are not showing. . .

I copied your data (up thru position 72) and changed the sort fields to not use the 82,6,ZD,A and it worked as you say you want.

I, too, ran a test - with the complete sample data stored in a data set (FB/90) and the exact SYSIN specified above. The sort produced the expected output. Ranga - What release of SyncSort for z/OS are you running? What exactly are you getting in the output?

Yes. It is working.........my mistake was I put different SORT fields :oops:
