Hi - Probably some of the experts here would have been bored to answer questions on difference between syncsort and dfsort.

But, I do need to know a specific thing ..

IFTHEN seems to work for me in SYNCSORT.
Even ICETOOL works, ofcourse it defaults to SYNCTOOL by its own.

I just wanted to know, if it because of the version of SYNCSORT, I use?
SYNCSORT FOR Z/OS 1.3.1

I have been wondering, if I need to ever make any changes to my DFSORT steps coded earlier, if everything seems to work fine as it is.

Any knowledge shared on this would be highly appreciated!

Well, first thing I would do is look at the manual for the version of SYSCSORT I am using and see what keywords are listed there.

Did your system recently change from DFSORT to Syncsort?

If not, i do not understand why there is a concern/question. . .

Syncsort "things" that previously worked should continue to work.

Possibly there is something i misunderstand.
