BI is BInary.

It is one of the datatypes for sort. In the example about, PD is another. There are a number of others, worth checking in your manual.

Hello,

When you have a question, you should start a new topic for your question rather than posting a reply to some unrelated topic.

You question has been split into a new topic.

Is there some reason you could not look in the documentation (or even search this forum) to learn about BI?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
