Dick, what do you call the SYNCSORT lines of code, in a job?

Your product is rather current.

<sort> control statements/cards - same as Enroco posted.

In addition to what Enrico posted, also consider that in Many organizsations, these control statements are in members of some CNTRLIB rather than inline. Inline ie easy for testing, but if they are in a library, they can be used multiple places without the need to duplicate the statements.

As i mentioned earlier, some sample input data and the desired loutput from that input would help.
