Reorganise the disk volume

Hi Team,

We are doing RMM CDS reorg whenever it is reached threshold limit. Likewise, Is it possible to reorganise the whole Disk volumes thru any IBM Utility. If yes, please share with me.

What do you mean by "reorganize the whole disk"? Are you trying to consolidate free space? Put all sequential files on one disk and PDS files on another disk and VSAM files on another disk?

Yes . . Consolidating free space on a volume.

Assuming the volume is not under SMS control, use DF/DSS DEFRAG command. There are other tools, depending upon what is installed at your site, that could be used -- ASM2 and FDR are two I've used in the past for this.
