career guidence in mainframe

hi guys i have learned mainframe for one year,but i didn't get

a job in it.so i have joined another company with some other

technology.i want to move to mainframe after 6 months.

but my friends are telling that don't go for mainframe.there wont be any scope of mainframe in future

it is outdated,better go for java or get stick into

the technology where you are working

i don't have any friend working in mainframe to help me.is there

anybody who can help me,please give me a career guidance

Have you read other posts and replies in this section? Considering most financial work is done on mainframes it would require the total disintegration of the world's economies to kill off the mainframe the installed processing power of which is increasing year-on-year.

Well, if you did not understand that then you should steer clear of mainframes.
