Mainframe Trained fresher's -job?

Hi everyone,
Why there is no Job openings for Mainframe trained fresher's anywhere in India?
Why companies not willing to pick up Mainframe trained student's as Mainframe programmer?
What's companies expect from us as a Mainframe Programmer ?

Perhaps because, just now, they do not need anyone. But tomorrow..... It does not harm by phoning around the recruitment agencies or looking vacancies on company web sites.
