Re: Email triggering when job fails
Contact your site support group for assistance. The email function of CA-7 must be set up by the installer, and if they did not set up the email function you will NOT be able to send an email. And if they did set it up, they will be most able to help you get it running at your site.

Re: Email triggering when job fails
Does CA-7 have that option like Control-M where you can start a another job when a given job fails? If so, just do that, and the other job is a utility to send the email. It did that for a long time before they set up the built in emailer for Control-M.
The problem was that all the mails were the same. They just said "There is a problem". There was no way to pass info from the failing job to the email job using built in Control-M variables or anything.
