Postby Rehansk » Thu Apr 16, 2015 2:56 pm

Dear all,

This is Rehan . I have 4 years of mainframe work experience as a developer and good ex-poser to the batch environment than online ,Since I have been working in Batch projects. I would like to enhance my programming skills in Online environment . Would you please suggest me the best sources for this .

Do you have any CBT mainframe materials , please provide me the Link .

Also, I would like to know , "Since everyone saying , Mainframe has been legacy system , shift to the Other Technology". But I don't Like exit from mainframe , instead like to update my skills in mainframe more .

I know JCL, COBOL, CICS , DB2, VSAM. As I said little expose to the Online environment and I know UNIX also have scripting knowledge.

Please suggest me what technologies related to mainframe can be learnt , So that Once can be most useful mainframe resource to the employer in the current market of mainframe world.

Looking forward your suggestions .

Thanks,
Rehan

You are not going to get ery far if you cannot post in the correct part of the forum. Topic moved from COBOL.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

Have you read thwe topics in this section? You will probably find a few tips in them - that is why they are retained and not thrown away after a period of time.
