table partition related dictionary for DB2 iSeries(AS400)

Postby jangkeunna » Thu Sep 27, 2018 10:04 am

Hi!

I wander what is the dictionary containing table partitioning information like partition key, partitioning type, partittion range, etc. Actually what i want is creating partitioning clause of CREATE TABLE statement from dictionary.
DB2 for zOS have dictionary like syscat.datapartitions, syscat.datapartitionexpression but for DB2 for iSeries, theres no schema syscat.

How can I get partitioning information?

My DB2 version is 7.2.
Does my version support partitioning?

Look in your manual.

Also, this is a mainframe forum so you might be better off asking on a dedicated iSerues/AS400 forum.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
