Restart a program that has only GSAM output files

Hi all, we have a program that has input as DB2 table. It fetches and process records that are PENDING for a column and creates 3 GSAM output files (PROC OPT = LS). After processing records that column is updated with COMPLETE. If the program abends after processing some records and want to restart program with checkpoint and restart logic, will XRST reposition GSAM databases?
