telnet server up without message EZZ6001I?

hi all, this is my first post here.

I've a question, for if someone has a clue about it.

we are in the process of upgrade ours LPARS from Z/OS1.7 to Z/OS1.9, one of the prerequisites for this is that the TN3270 service must be in a separated STC from the TCPIP STC. By some reason, in some cases, we get the message EZZ6001I and in some cases not, but the telnet service is up, no problem with that:

Hello Josep and welcome to the forums,

Was the first telnet execution stopped before the second "start" was issued? It may have detected that it was already running and "quietly went away. . .".

thanks for the welcome,

about the telnet matter: they are 2 tcpip stacks, so one telnet server for one of them and the other for the
second stack:

TCPIP - TN3270
TCPIPTS -TN3270TS

the first one was up and running when the second was started, and this is also up and running, the only difference are the messages.
