Postby dhanalakshmi » Wed Feb 10, 2010 12:35 pm

The following code doesn't work

//TRGH34D JOB (TRG,TRG,TRGH34,D2,DT99X),NOTIFY=TRGH34
//STEP1 EXEC PGM=IEBGENER
//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=A
//SYSUT1 DD DSN=TRGH34.SAMPLE.FILE2,DISP=SHR
//SYSUT2 DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSIN DD *
//

Saying something doesn't work is almost -- but not quite -- semantically null. When you say it did not work, do you mean:
1. the program ran but did not produce the output you expected?
2. the program ran but generated error messages?
3. the program did not run due to User abend?
4. the program did not run due to System abend?

In order to distinguish between these cases, you must provide error messages (if any), system output, program output, and sometimes other things to help us diagnose and resolve your issue.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Is this now working?

If not, is there some reason you have not posted the diagnostic information presented by the problem run?
Hope this helps,
d.sch.
