Easytrieve performance vs DFSORT

I'm assuming DFSORT is fast, but I have no stats. Does anyone know the performance differences?

Hello,

DFSORT and Easytrieve are completely different types of products. They have little in common to compare.

What kind of comparison are you looking for? What type of stats are you looking for?

If you post what you are looking for, someone may have suggestions.
Hope this helps,

Lets say, the scenario... adding a footer to a file that has the number of records that meet a criteria (let it be... a record starting with a certain work, for example.) High volume, 1000's of records.

Hello,

To copy a file and place a "total" at the bottom can easily be done with either product.

I'd suggest you use whichever product you are more comfortable with. Until the number of records gets into the multiple millions, i do not believe there will be much differenct in performance.
Hope this helps,
