RECYCLE TWS

Postby lukeskywalker64 » Thu Aug 05, 2010 2:25 pm

Hi everyboby,

anyone knows how to recycle TWS without closing controlling system address space. For recycling I mean to let TWS read some parameters definition update .

thanks in advance

I have a procedure on a case of a re-plan fails that STOP OPC (just controller) and i do not understand why.

So, If re-plan fails my procedure indicates to operator to add an application into current plan that takes backup and then delete the folowing datasets created in the RE-PLAN application:
//DRTOP EXEC PGM=EQQBATCH,PARM='EQQDRTOP',REGION=300M
//EQQTROUT DD DSN=dataset1,

//DPREPORT EXEC PGM=EQQBATCH,PARM='EQQDPRPT',COND=(8,LT),
// REGION=4096K
//SYSPRINT DD DSN=dataset2,

AFTER THAT IT RECYCLE OPC ! I do not see the need for this, can you provide your input about this? I cannot find a recycle sequence to better understand what is doing TWS during this process.

1 - do not tag onto old posts especially ones that seem to me to bere a different question.
2 - You are asking an OPC/TWS question so why are you posting in the JCL part of the forum?
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.
