How does ENQ/DEQ work with SYNCPOINT ROLLBACK or COMMIT

Postby letmelive » Tue Sep 17, 2013 3:48 am

Hi,
When using ENQ & DEQ before & after write into a TDQ, what happens to the record written into the queue if the appilcation encounters problem and syncpoint 'rollback' is applied? Will TDQ also roll back meaning record written is removed or will it still have the record written into it?

Thanks,
LML

If the TDQ is Intra, just specify Logical or Physical recovery for the Queue, and you dont have to bother about Enq/Deq. The TDQ is never rolled-back without the specification of recovery.
