query regarding start up process.

Hi everybody,

I have a query regarding the start up procedure during mainframe login. when we type 'CICS1' in our logon screen it gets directed to the cics panel. how does this happens. where does the program gets involked so that its getting redirected. aplogies if m wrong.

That depends on which front end product that is in use, or the set up by your sys progs.

The people at your site are the best people to ask.

But that is CICS and this is the TSO forum.
The problem I have is that people can explain things quickly but I can only comprehend slowly.

I suspect that the first interaction is with vtam. . .

As Expat mentioned, the best source of this info is the support group for the system.
